Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!
Took a little pause on the blog in case you didn’t notice.
Tons going on and I wasn’t to sure how or if I should blog on current events. None the less, I will.
I was watching Foundation the other night. Finally got caught up on it.
It’s a sci-fi, future-istic show that you really need to pay attention to. Don’t get me wrong it is good. You just need to pay attention to it.
So, the heroes are on this planet that has a small group of people that have psychic abilities. One of the heroes gets shot saving another hero.
OK, no problem.
The one who was shot is held in the arms of the other hero while everyone else stands around and looks at them. And THAT IS MY PROBLEM!
NOBODY on this ENTIRE planet knows ANY FIRST AID?!?! NOBODY?!?!
Nobody knows anything about direct pressure or how to control bleeding or treat for shock?
NOBODY knows where a first aid kit might be?
NOBODY?!?!
Not one person in that entire group used to have any medical type training?
NOBODY?!?!
I mean COME ON MAN! It’s the future people.
In today’s world, we have the ability to GTS (Google That Shit). Are you telling me that in this future world they don’t even have GOOGLE!?!?!
I could understand it in Star Wars. That’s a story from a long, long time ago. Fine. I get it.
Foundation is the future. The characters descended from Earth. And yet, in the rush to get off planet Earth, NOBODY remembered the first aid kit.
At least in war movies, there is ALWAYS a medic. I just don’t understand why, in the future, when people are supposed to be so advanced, they can’t remember to apply direct pressure to a bleeding wound.
I’m just saying
