‘Murica has a nasty little reputation of being a very destabilizing presence in the world.
The Western World likes to say Russia. I’m gonna lean toward ‘Murica. Because WE’RE NUMBER ONE!
Not only are we number one, we had this dude from our past: Henry Kissinger. And I hope Hell has a dumpster set up for his black soul.
That man used to be Secretary of State back in the 60s and 70s. He had a big hand in how the US interests were protected overseas. How? By causing coups and uprisings and arming of peoples to overthrow governments he didn’t like and by generally PISSING OFF and killing lots and lots and LOTS of innocent peoples around the world.
And getting away with it.
One of his famous lines from a senate hearing was “we aren’t bombing Cambodia. We are bombing the Viet Cong IN Cambodia.” Those actions killed thousands of Cambodians.
And, like a bad info-mercial…IT GETS WORSE!
See, the Prince of Cambodia (the Ruler), broke off ties with Good Ol’ ‘Murica and Kissinger didn’t like that. Because we wanted their support in our fiasco of Vietnam. So, what did Kissinger do? He set up Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge! And that group killed MILLIONS!
The late Anthony Bourdain wished he could have punched Kissinger in the face. Can’t say I blame him.
Cyprus, Vietnam, Cambodia, Argentina, Chile, South Africa. Pick a country with a troubled past or present and I bet you can find the source of their problems with Henry Kissinger.
What was his beef? Communism. Socialism. And all things Un-‘Murican.
He found it an “existential threat” to democracy.
All these actions around the world were a huge win for the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). MIC loves a good and bloody mess because they get to provide the party favors (guns and bullets). Kissinger was ALWAYS willing to bring the party poppers to ANY person that wanted to overthrow a “Commi” ruler and install a Pro ‘Murica government. Notice I said “Pro ‘Murica” and not “Pro Democracy.” There is a difference.
The real history of ‘Murica is filled with some really bad shit. Trust me. I’m a history buff.
Kissinger, has to be in the top 5 of evil ‘Muricans that did their evil best to spread some good ol’ ‘Murican Democracy around the world whether they liked it or not.
