Talking some football today. Especially with playoffs and such coming up in the NFL.
Recently, I had a little bit of a heartbreak. The ESPN website made a change.
When you go into that webpage and go to the NCAAF (F for football), there is a tab for “Teams.” Click on that tab and it pulls up all the different conferences.
Despite all the turmoil with the Pac 12, through this entire season, that section has been populated with all 12 teams.
Within the past week, it changed. It changed to the two remaining true Pac 12 members. Oregon State and Washington State.
I saw that and my heart kinda broke a little.
The reality of the other, traitorous, teams that left for whatever glory-hole they thought would give them the greatest reward in the form of money. Funny thing is that it would seem only the football programs were considered in the discussion.
Apparently, they did not factor in the rest of the sports programs. Like basketball, baseball, swimming, wrestling, and so on and so forth. You know the sports. The ones that have a shit ton of games. Back to back games. Where they end up having to travel more than on just a weekly basis.
Yeah, those ones.
Well, SCREW EM! I say let them flounder in their new misery of figuring out how to continue calling their players “scholar athletes” while they travel several times a week. Back and forth all over God’s Green Earth.
And when they want to come back, which they will, well…SORRY…we already have our new Conference of Champions called the PAC WEST!
