Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!
Couple Musings this weekend.
First, Newbie started basketball. Had her first practice/clinic this past Saturday.
She “spanked” the ball all over the place; she tossed it up in the air while jumping in an effort to make a basket; did a bounce pass in lieu of a chest pass; did some form of push up; slipped; fell; jumped; defended.
Was she good? Let’s just say there is plenty of room for…I’ll call it “discovery.”
Discovering the “how to” of basketball. Like I’m some damn professional that knows anything about the game! HA!
Did she have more fun than a tornado in a trailer park? HELL YEAH SHE DID! And that is what did my heart the best. Hearing that scream followed by her unique “giggle” just does wonders for my soul.
The other Musings happened in the Buffalo/ KC game.
Even though I wanted Buffalo to win there was an incident among the KC fans that simply did my heart good.
It was when Travis Kelce scored for KC.
The camera panned up to the box seats. Probably in an effort to see Taylor Swift.
Instead, they grabbed a full on, shirtless picture of Travis’s big brother Jason (center for Philly). He was the biggest fan of his little brother that a person could ever see. Beer in hand, shirt off in damn cold temperatures, mouth wide open with a big ass cheer from the score his little brother made.
All money and fame aside, ripping the shirt off to cheer on his brother…man…just too cool to see. Cause THAT is what sports is all about!
