Having to control my passions with some logic this morning.
Passions aroused due to headlines around cabinet appointments and the potential impact on life/economy in these here U-Nited States of ‘Murica!
In particular the appointment of Sissy SpaceX: Elon Musk. Side note, that name got Stephen King kicked off of the X platform by T-Rumps new first lady Elonia (love it!).
This scam department of Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE as it is going to be called. Another side note, DOGE is also the crypto currency that Elonia is heavily invested in that was useless and now has spiked in price.
The DOGE department is new. It is a figment of t-Rumps imagination that has come to a reality. It’s purpose, according to Elonia is to cut 2 Trillion dollars from the budget.
I have an interest in it because one area that Elonia and his buddy Vivek Ramaswamy want to cut up is the Veteran’s Administration. That would mean getting rid of VA benefits that we have earned like medical and counseling services.
To calm some nerves I want everyone to understand a couple things.
First, DOGE is an ADVISORY group. That means they only ADVISE the president. They do not make policy or rules. They simply make recommendations. Anybody can advise the president. Hell, I advise him all the time to do stuff. Most of the time it’s ignored, but you get the point.
Second thing is the whole budget process. Congress gives the President money to spend. The President has no choice other than to spend the money how Congress tells the President to spend it. So, Elonia and the Brat Billionaire, Vivek, can advise the President to cut the VA or Social Security or Medicare or whatever. If Congress says “here’s the money for these agencies, GIVE IT TO THE AGENCIES” then Elonia and BBV can sit their fat billionaire asses down and just look pretty. The President MUST spend the money.
In the end, don’t let the headlines get your guts on fire. Take a minute (or two) and dig a little to find out the limits of things. Trust me when I say there is a LOT of bullshit that will come out in the days ahead. Don’t let your reason be a slave to your passion and we will get through this Madisonian Nightmare (I’ll explain that later) together!
