A festive holiday GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, CHRISTMAS is COMING! Get those lists to Santa before those raving liberals get rid of CHRISTMAS!
Free For All Friday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s FRIDAY! NO OPEN MAT: going to airport with Number 1 daughter who does NOT understand the importance of OPEN MAT. Maybe PIZZA NIGHT depending on when I get home
HOLY CATS I am absolutely LOVING the recent headlines about the CEO that ended up taking a dirt nap. Loving the conversations. Maybe, just maybe, something will change.
The social media posts about being denied coverage for healthcare are just heartbreaking. The stories of watching a loved one die because the insurance company didn’t live up to their promises or the customer’s expectation bring tears to the eye.
I was listening to a call in radio show on POTUS. The host was leaning toward the notion of killing another human being is wrong.
One caller made a comparison between Osama Bin Laden and the CEO. Basically that they were one in the same. That we treat the SEALS that killed him as heroes, why not treat Luigi as a hero?
The host said “because Osama Bin Laden was a terrorist responsible for thousands of deaths.”
Let’s think on that for a minute. To quote the philosopher Winnie the Pooh: “Think, think, think.”
Osama was labeled a terrorist because the western governments said he was. Osama used his money and influence to support and commit acts of violence. These actions killed many innocent people. However, there is no proof that he, himself, actually killed anyone. His time, effort, and money did.
The CEO. He was responsible for ALL things related to United Healthcare. His company implemented programs and procedures that intentionally denied life saving medical payments to thousands of people around the globe. His company, and he, KNEW that denying payment on the medical procedures would result in ultimate death possibly with long term suffering for the individual. He, himself, never actually killed anyone. His time, effort, and money did.
For me, I think the CEO was worse. His efforts not only resulted in pain, suffering, and death of people who trusted him and his company, it also resulted in people losing everything. Literally EVERYTHING. Life savings, homes, jobs, EVERYTHING.
It’s almost biblical. John 10:10 says a thief comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I can only imagine that being denied a claim would feel that way. You are sold an insurance policy. You give that money to the company under the belief they will take care of you when you need them. Then, when you need them, they have taken your money and denied you the help you need (stealing). Depending on the severity of your situation, you or your loved one ends up dying because of that lack of treatment (killed). Finally, when the bills come due (and they will), you lose everything to pay them off. You have been destroyed.
No, I have no sympathy for that CEO. Especially since he was given his dirt nap while he was on his way to brag about being the thief (that’s what the shareholder meeting is).
My Ed-vise for the other CEOs out there: perhaps instead of sinking money into body guards you should try to fix the problem.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Be the person your dog thinks you are. Check in on each other and remember a soldier without legs is called…ARM-Y! BWAHAHAHHAHHAHAA!
Peace
