An I’m Back GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, after being away for a bit I’ve decided to come back and offer my two cents on everything whether you like it or not! Hopefully I can provide a bit of guidance and understanding in these times of “What The Actual FAWK?!?!”

A while back, I went to Panama. Got to enjoy a night crossing of the Panama Canal as the schools bus we were on crammed itself on the narrow strip and road the rims across the canal. That was interesting.
On the Gulf of Mexico side was the Jungle Operations Training Center (JOTC). There we in the Oregon National Guard learned jungle warfare stuff. That was actually some really good training. Plus, it was the first time I can recall actually feeling warm all the way to the bone.
I can honestly say that it seemed like EVERYTHING in that jungle was alive. It was really amazing and YES, I would go back.
Teddy Roosevelt was responsible for building the canal. Way back in 1904. To this day, there is still a question of where $40,000,000 went in getting it built. 120 years later, nobody knows where that money went.
The canal is owned by Panama. Good Ol’ ‘Murica helped Panama get it by helping to promote a bit of a “revolution” in the are which caused Panama to become a country separate from Colombia. One of our “dirty little secrets.”
T-Rump has his eyes set on the canal…and I don’t know why. More likely than not the PABOTUS has no idea where the canal is located. He clearly has no idea about the treaties surrounding the canal (See Torrijos-Carter Treaties). China does NOT control the canal. The treaties make clear that Panama owns and operates the canal and the US can defend it. The Navy is never charged to go in and out of the canal. All commercial vessels are charged a fee to go through the canal.
I cannot find any information to indicate why this canal would suddenly appear on PABOTUS play sheet.
We are the biggest user of it. China is second. All of his claims, besides the cost, are wrong. The building of it did not cost 38,000 ‘Murican lives. I think it cost like 5…MAYBE. The cost, AT THAT TIME, was the biggest ever. And that was 120 years ago.
The only thing I can think of for this is because of how he does things. First he “creates” a problem. Then he gets everyone all pissed off about the problem. Finally, he fixes the problem that he created.
Problem he creates out of thin air: Panama is taking advantage of ‘Murica!
Getting everyone all pissed off about it: That is what he is doing now. Rattling the sabres and; threatening war and tariffs; getting his MAGAT infested base all pissed off because they don’t read anything that Faux News or Newsmax doesn’t put out.
At some point he will tweet out “Problem Solved” or “Panama Caves to me!” But, NOTHING will have changed.
SHIT! I just had an epiphany! THESE actions are EXACTLY what they call “Munchausen Syndrome!” Only it isn’t about being physically sick. If you watch the move “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen” you will see what I am talking about.
