Ed-vise Episode 59

Another cooolld in the garage GOOD MORNING to you all! Morning walk with Hershey was beautiful with a 3/4 moon and stars. It was a Ver Nice!

Today’s bit o trivia: Bhopal India. Capital city in the state of Madhya Pradesh and home of the Bhopal Badshahs hockey team! Yeah, that’s right, India plays hockey! Well, field hockey that is. You might better know of Bhopal by one of the local employers who, after 36 years, STILL has not cleaned up it’s mess. See, around midnight today, 36 years ago, the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal “burped” out a bunch of methyl isocyanate. That gas cloud swept over a sleeping city of a million plus people and killed 16,000 (not a type) and maimed over 40,000 (not a typo). Way to go Union Carbide! Another top tier dirt bag company that still has not cleaned up it’s mess.

Anyway…

Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today

Man do I love Think About it Thursday! Why? Well, think about it! HAHAHA. Oh I kill me!

Yesterday I brought up about the ICU worker who might come to you asking to care for their child a few hours so the ICU worker could rest before reporting to the COVID unit.

Today, I was just thinking about the extra space and “volunteers” to help.

I read about a mall owner saying they were going to cancel the lease for one of their block stores due to no rent. Whenever I walk around malls (with mask of course) I see lot’s of spaces for lease. Walk around town and you will see the same thing. Walk around the day care/ pre-school and you will probably see the same thing. The space is there. Would property managers and owners be willing to donate? Especially if we are “All in this Together.”

Need people? This might be a rant. Everyone not taking this serious, well, step up and volunteer. That’s right. Put your money where your actions are and volunteer to watch over the care worker while they get some rest to return to the front line. Volunteer to cook them a meal; to clean their house, wash their car…even to go so far as to offer to watch over their child while they rest. Stop protesting outside of the home of a safety inspector and step up to aid a soldier who needs a bit of peaceful shut eye! I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember banks and corporations are only as powerful as we allow them to be.

Peace
