Ed-vise Episode 194

A Bucs WIN GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, Bucks did it. Won the whole thing in 6 games. They are from Milwaukie (which means The Great Land) and that is in Wisconsin.

What Would You Do Wednesday Ed-vise today. Cause I do love Wednesdays!

Folks ask me all the time “where do I come up with these scenarios?” Well, not really yet. But if they do, all you have to do is watch the news and put yourself in that scenario. With things like social media, the amount of potential situations goes off the chart.

Kidnapping has started to surface more and more these days. Primarily because of the situation that occurred on a New York street. Which gives us today’s scenario. Woman walking with her kid in broad daylight. Kid runs ahead of her a bit. Total stranger comes up and grabs the kid. Starts to run to his car. What Would You Do?

You can put yourself in the situation. Be the parent. All the parents I know would immediately react. Most would tell the kid not to run so far ahead. That’s good. But what about if the stranger shoves the parent to the ground? The parents I know would get up and take after their child. They would abandon any and all self preservation notions and get their kid back. If you watch the video of this parent, the only thing I would recommend training for is dropping the bags you are carrying. Clear your hands so you can fight.

What if you are a bystander? There is a video on Instagram where some people staged a child abduction in broad daylight. Right in front of people walking down the street. Dude runs up behind a kid, puts their hand over the kids mouth and takes off down an alley. Of course the video has been edited for particular scenes. The scenes show the indifference the people have! They keep to their phone or keep walking. “It’s not my problem” being their mindset.

In ‘Merica, it’s NOT your problem. No court would convict you of a crime for doing nothing. But, Karma is a bitch. So when you have a problem of similar magnitude, remember the time you did nothing under the defense of “It’s not my problem.”

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember regular naps prevent old age especially if done while driving. HAHAHAHAHAHA…think about it…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Peace
