A damn sore GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, I am sore! Hard rolling yesterday with a bigger opponent working on pressure passing. Ugh! I should have NEVER asked for that type of training.
Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s THURSDAY! Time to think!
OK! My multitude of fans have asked for my thoughts on the Rittenhouse trial. So, to show my love of their readership, here we go!
First, don’t be surprised if we don’t have a verdict until Friday night. Sometimes it’s just easier. Workweek not tied up with rioting and it allows people to vent their rage over the weekend and then get back to business as usual.
Second, I cannot recall a trial that was subject to so much media attention, that went well for the prosecutor. Seriously. For me, it started with the four police officers who beat up Rodney King. Then, OJ Simpson, followed by Zimmerman, and now Rittenhouse. In fact, I think you can Google any trial that had a large media presence and find that the defendant was set free.
Whenever there is such media attention in the trial, the prosecutor has a lot of pressure on them. The whole world is watching and they have to do everything right. Reason being you have every arm-chair lawyer sniping about how they could do it better. Furthermore, you have the bosses watching over their shoulder because THEIR bosses (usually the voters) also watching.
Then, you have the jury. Usually 12 random people from the community that have a decision to make about a person. About a person for the rest of that person’s life. Some want to make a statement. Some want to maybe publish a book or something. Gain some status. In the end, these people must face their community with the choice they made and explain it. If Kenosha Wisconsin blows up with riots because of the verdict (whichever way it goes), that jury will have to explain itself to the community AND live with the consequences for ever.
My prediction: I think they will find him guilty on manslaughter. Reason being it is an easy charge for the jury to swallow.
Manslaughter is like recklessly acting in a manner that causes a persons death. Like if you kill someone while drunk driving. You did not intend to kill someone. However, you engaged in a dangerous activity. That activity resulted in someone’s death. Ergo…manslaughter.
Self defense? I don’t think so. Why? Well, he went to a party, UNINVITED, with the symbol of the Trumptard Party (AR-15). Then, as expected, he was attacked. Why would the attack be “expected?” That’s why he brought the gun. He KNEW he was going to be attacked if he had it. Basically, he instigated the attack. But, I am not sure if the prosecutor talked about that.
Like I said yesterday “get your popcorn and your whiskey.” This is gonna be like the old school train collisions. You just can’t take your eyes off of it.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember what happened to the guy who was killed by the two ton pumpkin. He was SQUASHED! HAHAHAHAHAHA…get it? SQUASHED!
