Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! Time to GET AFTER IT!
As all of you probably know, the Ukraine thing was sitting at the top of my mind. The eerie silence from the Trumplican Party; the amount of disinformation being put forward by the Russians; the number of people on social media platforms that are attempting to tie this whole thing to Biden’s son…simply UNBELIEVEABLE!
Then, two things happened that caused an eyebrow to rise. First, Putin puts his nuclear force on high alert. Then, his buddy in Belarus decides to name themselves as a nuclear participant. Meaning, they will open their borders to Russia bringing in Russian nukes. Belarus does not have any…anymore.
The stakes have been raised significantly.
Why?
Because Putin MUST come out on top of this whole thing. Resolution of this war MUST be in his favor. He put all his cards on the table and things aren’t going as planned.
First, if Putin does not win this thing, his perceived image of a “Strong Man” will come crumbling down. Not good. Many people in his immediate circle along with in the military will end up dead. A country does not like when a leader puts them through hell for a lost cause. And paybacks are double. The Russian people will get their pound of flesh.
Second, there are several governments that rely on the perceived strength of Russia for their existence. For their protection. Most are former Soviet Republics. However, there are a few outside of the former Soviet Union and outside the Warsaw Pact that have a keen interest in Putin’s success. If the Russian Army takes a loss on this, those governments will have a problem on their hands. Reason being the Big Brother that protects them…just got beat up…by a smaller country.
I had predicted that Russia would not invade. I wrote that in hopes the Putin would read my blog…but he didn’t. His loss.
Putting the nuclear card in play is a BIG deal. Get your scotch and your popcorn and pay attention to that. It means Putin is willing to do just about anything.
