Historical day yesterday. Justice Ketanji Jackson Brown made it through the Senate and becomes the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of Good Ol’ ‘Murica! Well Done!
The thing that baffles me is the statements made by “No-Voting” senators…though it shouldn’t.
They were all saying how she was very qualified and a great person. That it will be an historic day when she receives the votes and they will be proud of her for making it…”but I will vote NO.”
WHAT?!?!
I love her; she’s great and all; but I’m not going to be seen with her?
Why not simply say “I will vote along party lines.” Own this fact!
Despite all the moronic behavior of the Trumplicans, she endured and made it to the highest court in the land.
Truly, in my opinion, an HISTORIC day. I look forward to her being seated. Hopefully she will be as influential on the Trump appointed justices as she is inspirational to many young women of all races.
