A back in the saddle GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, back from a quick weekend in So. Cal for some jits…of course. Great time with great friends and my jits family!
Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…Technically!
Texas.
God Bless Texas.
Well, my Boy is enjoying 100+ degree heat down in “God’s Country.” Not only that but now, the great state of Texas is enjoying the fruits of climate change…a drought. And it is a big one!
In fact, the bulk of the western United States is enjoying a drought. Eastern states as well.
It’s not the first time in recent memory that a drought came through. If you recall in your non-Critical Race Theory history books, there was a thing called “The Dust Bowl.” That was a mega drought that came through the midwest back in the 1930s. No water and nothing but dust blowing everywhere. Pushed a bunch of people from that region to migrate to California. Around 400,000 people. A movie was made based on John Steinbeck’s novel called The Grapes of Wrath. Pretty good movie with Henry Fonda as the main character. Pretty good book as well.
So, fast forward from the “Dirty 30s” as it was affectionately called and we see Texas, AGAIN, in a drought. Not only a drought but now a power grid that is stressed to the max as people need those AC units cranking out that cold air.
If you recall in 2021, Texas got super cold. That was when “Cancun” Ted Cruz took off to, well, Cancun Mexico. It was just too cold for him and his family in Texas. Blamed his kids. What a turd. But I digress.
Texas did not learn from it’s cold spell on fixing the power grid.
California has been dealing with such issues for a lot longer than Texas. While California was working to figure out how to deal with extreme heat conditions year round, Texas would sit back and laugh. Then, it would send out commercials to California about how great Texas was.
Well, not laughing now are ya Texas? Never paid attention to the possibility that a similar state along the same latitude as California might one day end up with similar heat situations. If you had, you would have already developed a solution rather than allow your oil industries to pollute your water tables.
Nice work Texas. Keep denying the change in climate. Maybe it will all pay off for you…some day.
I’m just saying
That’s if for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember what one wall said to the other wall…I’LL MEET YOU AT THE CORNER! HAHAHAHAHHAHA…Get it?
Peace
