A crappy Fantasy Football Team GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, fantasy team did TERRIBLE this past weekend. Three, count them THREE, zero point performances from three different players. AHHHHH!
Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…Technically.
Adnan Syed.
Ever hear of him? Maybe you have recently.
He was released from prison due to the efforts of him and The Innocence Project.
Served 22 years for the kidnapping and murder of his girlfriend Hae Min Lee back in 2000.
Twenty Two Years! Gone.
Why? Because the prosecutor and the detectives, basically the State of Maryland, conspired against him to put him in prison.
Withheld evidence, bad witnesses, bad detective work all were enough for the judge to release him.
Kevin Urick was the prosecutor of the original case. He’s still alive. Stands by the verdict. He has to. Otherwise, his legal career is pretty much over if he knowingly convicted an innocent man and knowingly withheld evidence.
Bill Ritz was one of the detectives that worked the case. Mr. Ritz had three other convictions thrown out due to his work. Not thrown out, OVERTURNED. Meaning the defendants were wrongly convicted based on his work.
These wrongful conviction cases are absolutely stunning. People losing years of their lives based on poor work by prosecutors and even worse work by police. Then, you add to it defense council that doesn’t do their jobs. It turns the stomach. If you want to read some truly sad and amazing stories of wrongful convictions check out https://innocenceproject.org/. It will shock you what these innocent people had to endure.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember FLORISTS know nothing about FLOORING! HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA…hmmm.
Peace
