There is a reason that people in charge of military organizations MUST have military experience. In my opinion.
We can learn from the example happening in Ukraine.
Russia uses a group of mercenary psychopaths called Wagner Group. They are owned by a guy who used to be a chef. Who has ZERO military experience other than catering the dinners at military functions. He happens to be a buddy of Poo-Tin which is why, now, he gets billion dollar contracts all over the world to send his group of murderers to prop up dictators.
Keep in mind, this person (Yevgeny Prigozhin) has ZERO military experience. None. Didn’t even graduate a military school like T-Rump did…allegedly.
Now, in the Ukraine War, you have Russian regular soldiers and Wagner Group mercenaries fighting, basically, side by side. Russia controls the beans and the bullets. Even the beans and bullets to the Wagner Group.
Prigozhin is pitching a huge fit about his psychos being slaughtered because Russian generals are not giving his troops the necessary bullets. And he’s pitching a HUGE fit about it. Granted his band of poorly trained ex-cons are being slaughtered en masse (that means A LOT). Their tactic is to send in the poorly trained to absorb all the bullets from the Ukraine guys so the better trained can hopefully waltz in without being shot. It’s an old Russian battle plan.
This little temper tantrum of Prigozhin got me to THINK.
If your troops don’t have the equipment they need, why would you send them in? I mean if you don’t have the bullets, why would you send them in? That seems kind of like, well, dumb, for lack of a better word.
I mean I don’t know what the contract says but if my boys were being short changed and dying because of it, I would pull them off the line. I’m no general but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
The other thing is that this is an example of “biting the hand that feeds you.” If Russian generals are the ones arming Wagner Group and Wagner Group doesn’t like it, pitching a huge public bitch all over the place is the BEST way to end up with NOTHING! A bit of warning for Prigozhin…it’s a good way to end up with lead poisoning as well. Especially in Russia.
