A Connor McGregor knock out GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, former MMA fighter (never a champion) KO’d the mascot of the Miami Heat this weekend. It was supposed to be a marketing stunt. However, McGregor delivered the knockout punch…twice!
Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!
P80 Polymer.
Ever hear of them? You will now!
P80 (for short) is not an exercise thing. That was P90X.
P80 is a company that makes gun parts.
Not guns. Gun parts. There is a difference.
See, if you are a company that sells gun parts, you can basically ship those parts all over the country. I think all over the world.
If you manufacture guns, then you have a whole different set of rules and regulations that apply.
It has something to do with the assembly of the guns. If I ship you all the parts that make a gun then you have to put them together to make a gun. Otherwise, it’s just a bunch of plastic and metal. What you do with those pieces of plastic and metal, that’s up to you. I just make the parts. P80 boasts that it is a “fun learning experience” assembling their guns.
P80 has parts for hand guns and AR rifles. And, for around $3000 you can buy a 3D printer and computer with program to make a gun.
The District of Columbia banned their sales and products. Los Angeles gave them a $4 Million fine. Why? I will tell you.
P80 doesn’t put serial numbers on their products. That 3D printer doesn’t stamp the gun with a serial number. No identifying markings.
Those markings are key parts of tracking down guns used in crimes. It’s like DNA for a gun. If the serial number system worked correctly, the government would know where EVERY gun is located and who has them. Instead, you have companies and people that lobby against such things and who work to remove those pesky tracking numbers. Guns without numbers are called “Ghost Guns.”
The number doesn’t make the gun any less dangerous. It does, however, make it easier to track down the person that fired it assuming they find the bullets. It’s a science thing.
Pops used to tell me that “there is only one reason a person would want a gun like that. To do bad things.” He was an avid 2A guy. He knew when people were doing things to cover up bad things. P80 is one of those companies.
But, for $3000 and swallowing any type of morals you have, you too could do pretty well with a 3D printer and a program to make non-traceable guns. Because that’s called “FREEDOM” baby! And this is ‘Murica! Hell YEAH!
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Be the person a stranger will do CPR on. Check in on each other and remember when a prisoner takes their own mugshot it’s called a…CELLFIE! BWAHAHAHAHAHA…clink!
Peace
