Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!
$118 Billion.
That is the price tag on the Senate Immigration Bill that provides for strengthening out border and providing military aid to Ukraine (to defeat the Russian Invasion), Taiwan (to keep China from invading), and Israel (to keep bombing refugee camps in Gaza).
$118 Billion.
That’s a lot of money.
$20 Billion goes to border stuff. The rest goes to military stuff for the allies and our Military Industrial Complex.
Here’s the kicker though: the money going to our allies is actually going to be for them to buy more military hardware from…(drum roll please)…our Military Industrial Complex!
Yup, more money to build bombs and delivery systems for those bombs.
Will it go to reconstruction? Nope. Aid for medical? Maybe…doubt it. Food? Don’t make me laugh.
Nope, all of it will go into the Military Industrial Complex that former President Eisenhower warned everyone about in his parting address to the nation.
They love wars. The bigger the better. Claim to be a necessity. Have really cool websites about national defense and world peace. But, they are the ones who would go out of business if the world were at peace.
