An Icey GOOD MORNING!!! to you all!!! Still, it was a foggy morning as it is now while I write this up! Sorry for missing yesterday.
Today’s bit o trivia: Pepin the Short. I am so thankful my parents didn’t name me Pepin OR the Short. Talk about setting a kid up to be bullied. Add to that, he ends up being eclipsed in stature by his two sons Charlemagne and Carloman I. Then, as a further kick to the shins, his father, Charles Martel is even considered a greater person than Pepin. Poor Pepin. Like being a middle child only he’s the middle between his sons and his dad. He couldn’t even get a cartoon named after him like Pepa Pig…
What Would You Do Wednesday Ed-vise today
Plenty going on in the universe, world, nations, and in your own state. If there was ever a time to do a little planning, no better time than the present. Don’t get me wrong, I am not promoting violence or Negan type actions should really bad things happen. I am promoting ideas to ease the “hurt” of large scale system failures and getting to the next day.
Here’s a real basic one for you: Do you have a plan for when someone close to you tests positive for COVID…or anything else for that matter?
Do you have a plan to isolate them? If they live with you, have you sat down and done a small table top exercise (I LOVE THESE) for just such a scenario?
Restrictions are starting to ease up. People are going out more and more. Crowds are getting bigger and plenty of issues and crowded conditions going around.
Yes, more vaccines are happening. Understand that once you get the full, two shots, you still have a couple weeks where you can catch it and transmit it.
I recommend setting up the time to sit with your loved ones or roommates (also probably loved ones) and go over isolation, sanitation, communications, and stay-cations (I couldn’t think up another “ation.”) A bit of planning takes very little time and goes a very long way. I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember good friends are like good underwear: sometimes they’re up your butt and in your shit but most of the time they cover your ass!
