Today’s bit o trivia: Pannonia. Not Panama or Panania. Pannonia. See, back oh two, oh three thousand years ago, Europe was not divided up like it is. Migrating people laid claim to different areas and pitched their tents. Then those tents became skyscrapers and stuff. Well, Pannonia is a basin nestled in the Yugoslavia region. Conquered by the Romans back in the BC days…of course…and home of some greats such as Valentinian who succeeded Jovian who was a Roman Emperor for about 9 months.

YUP! It’s FRIDAY!!!
So, as you all know I am reading the book Indistractable by Nir Eyal. And I am mulling over the timebox tactic he uses.
See, timeboxing is about setting up specific times to work. And when I say work I mean more than the 8+ hours per day you put in wherever. Work also has to do with your personal development AND your personal relationships.
The timebox sets out hard times where you are intently focused and present on work. No distractions; no interruptions. Much like when you are on shift at a manufacturing floor or wherever. Focused on the task at hand. These boxes will keep the “whirlwind” of stuff from deteriorating the precious resource you have called time. I’m just saying
