Today’s bit o trivia: Rush Bagot Treaty. This came about after the War of 1812 with Great Britain. You guys remember that one right? Round two of independence from the empire. They couldn’t believe we actually wanted to leave. Well, after that, Canada stayed under Brit control. Which caused concern on the Great Lakes since both countries had forts staring at each other. So, the two countries got together and Mr. Rush of the ‘Mericans and Mr. Bagot of the Brits got together, had some scotch and inked out a deal where the longest demilitarized border would be created between Canada and ‘Merica. Runs 5,525 miles (US); 8891 kilometers (rest of world) east to west. Unlike the border with Mexico, at some points the border is represented by a ditch. Crazy Canadians

On YouTube there is a guy goes by the handle “Uneducated Economist.” I don’t know his real name or where he lives but I think he’s out of Scappoose.
He has been doing his channel for a few years. His big focus area is lumber and timber. Apparently he is a lumber buyer. All he does all day is deal with lumber and timber. Then, he puts on his channel his two cents about the industry and the direction things are going.
Because he deals in this commodity all day, everyday, he apparently is really good and analyzing the direction of prices and why they are going that way. This morning he spoke about his past predictions that came true especially on the prices of lumber going up, WAY UP, the stock price of lumber produces going up, and the fact that loggers are not getting rich. Watch his channel to know why.
My point for today is that even if you do not have a college degree, you too can be looked to for your mastery of an area, for no other reason than the fact it is your job.
For instance, many family law attorneys are laughed at because they want to try to tell a support enforcement officer how to interpret the law. Support enforcement person probably does not have a law degree. However, they deal with one section of the law. All day, every day, one section of the law. Attorneys do not deal with an area of law on that level.
So, you see, if you focus in an area, you too can become the “expert” in the area. Just by working in that area. I’m just saying
