Ed-vise Episode 137

What a beautiful GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Newbie got a black eye this weekend. It’s called life kid.

Today’s bit o trivia: Brazil Nuts. I was going to do something about the Branch Davidians and David Koresh but found Brazil Nuts far more interesting. While not actually a nut (its a fruit), it has some amazing health benefits. Lower the blood sugar, anti-inflammatory, heart health, thyroid health and brain health. This little bad boy is awesome! Now, they come up out of South America. These are also grown her in good ol ‘Merica. So add these suckers to your diet! I think I do cause sometimes I feel like a nut!

Anyway…

Monday Musings Ed-vise today

Jury to make a decision today in Minnesota on Derek Chauvin. Tough to be a juror on this case. Damned if you say guilty; damned if you say not guilty.

Prosecution says the reckless actions of Chauvin resulted in the death of Floyd. Defense says it could have been any number of things that Floyd died from and not just Chauvin’s actions.

Being a lawyer type and having read many criminal cases along with being around for the Reginald King police officer trial, I am leaning toward the defense. Why? Because the burden of proof by the prosecution to hit the manslaughter charge is high enough. Add to it the possibility of Floyd dying from other causes makes it even tougher.

Mind you, I have not read any of the news stories associated with the trial. Why? Because I know the press is absolutely DYING for an acquittal because they will receive huge amounts of clicks from the riots that will ensue. They make money on “Dirty Laundry” and they LOVE dirty laundry!

It is very possible that the jury will return a guilty verdict. The prosecution may have met the burden of proof to the satisfaction of the jury. Again, I don’t know because I do not have the facts in front of me. The only press that will be butt hurt about that verdict is Fox and everyone to the right of Fox. Why? Because that side of the press pool gets their “Dirty Laundry” from those that support police brutality.

I will say this: In MY opinion, the force used was wrong. There are way better and far less lethal holds that are easier to maintain with less physical exertion by the officer. At the same time, the officers that did not intervene should also be on trial as accomplices. I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember a king does not fart noble gas. Hold that laugh in your nose for a bit! HAHAHAHA!

Peace
