A warm Hershey walk GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Warm this morning for a quick paced Hershey walk. He does love his walks!
Tech Talk Tuesday Ed-vise today. Because it’s Tuesday.
Fed OSHA recently did up rule stuff for the COVID pandemic. And, of course, it’s a bit late to the game. As was was said in the movie Gladiator “Did I miss the battle?” “No, Commodus, you missed the war!”
I hope you weren’t waiting on the gub-mint to help on a matter such as a global pandemic.
Our government (of people, by people, for people) is good at very, VERY few things.
It is good at providing for the national defense. That is, it is good at keeping us protected from invading armies. There’s a lot there, trust me. But not now.
It is good at collecting revenue. You might not like how it does it or when it does it.
And the gub-mint is pretty good at regulations. That is the mechanism for putting regulations in place is pretty efficient.
So, what took OSHA so long?
Well, OSHA, being an administrative agency, is/ was run by an individual who was hired by the former president. If you remember, the former president told us all he knew this was a big deal but he didn’t want people to panic. Which is why he did nothing.
With that in mind, many states and businesses took matters into their own hands. They did what they thought was best to keep people from getting sick. They had to do something because doing nothing was not the way to go. Those people that did something are ahead of the game and will stay ahead of the game that OSHA is making. They will have relatively little to do if anything to stay in compliance. To them, I say “Thank YOU!”
Those who did nothing. Well, you will have problems and a lot of catch up to do. To you I say “YOU’RE WELCOME!”
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember if you find something brown and sticky…it might be a stick. Wait for it…wait for it…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (windshield wiper inhale)
Peace
