OK, once again, coming straight out of Texas…AGAIN. God bless the state with no requirements to getting a gun.
ANOTHER parent shoots their kid. Of course the parent says it was an “accident.” Side note: if you pull out your gun, it is no accident that it goes off and it is no accident that the bullet hits something or someone.
So, here’s the scenario: you’re in a “Road Rage” situation and you have a gun. What Would You Do?
Understand a couple of legal principles.
First, if you shoot at someone that is tail-gating you or driving hostile around you while you are in your vehicle, guess what? YOU ARE THE CRIMINAL! That’s right people. If you shoot at someone who is not brandishing a weapon at you, well, YOU ARE THE SHOOTER!
Second, even if you are able to convince a jury that you were under the belief of reasonable life or death situation, if your bullet hits an innocent person, guess what? YOU ARE THE SHOOTER!
Third, if you are not smart enough to realize that you put the weapon on safe BEFORE putting it in the holster and it goes off, YOU ARE THE SHOOTER! AND YOU MUST LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF BEING STUPID!
If you believe you are being the victim in a road rage situation, do your best to get to a police station! Ask Siri where the nearest one is. If you can’t find a police station, a fire station will do. If neither can be found, police are somewhat everywhere. Get there.
If you decide to take the law into your own hands, and you defeat the road rage person with YOUR gun, guess what…YOUR THE SHOOTER! And you will have to live with the damage you have caused.
