Another warm GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, it’s warm up here in the Pac NW. As long as the wind don’t blow, I’m fine with it!
What Would You Do Wednesday Ed-vise today! I do love Wednesdays
Why? Because there’s always something crazy that happens out there!
I follow a bunch of fight pages on Instagram. In addition, I follow the pages that post security footage of people attacking each other. If you think people are becoming more violent these days, you could be right. Or, it could be that the number of attacks per population is the same, the attacks are just more easily witnessed. Either way, I think it best to run through scenarios of de-escalation IN ADDITION to self-offense. Notice the change in wording.
Today’s scenario cast: crowds.
Yes, as the pandemic gets under control, restrictions are getting lifted and more people are gathering. That means more people coming together in cluster; in tight areas like trains or buses. More alcohol; more drugs; more testosterone; more tension. All things that can lead to tensions escalating and problems breaking out.
The scene: on a plane. A passenger getting loud. Put them next to you. You don’t know why but they keep getting louder. Perhaps on a phone call just before take off. Perhaps in flight after in stirs you from a quick nap. ARE YOU READY FOR WHAT MAY COME?
Too often on the videos I observe people in the background doing nothing. NO, NO, NO!!! When things are getting loud, the little hairs on the back of your neck will start standing up. PAY ATTENTION TO THEM! Stow away your laptop or whatever; put your tray up and your seat in the upright position and BE READY TO MOVE!
People usually don’t just start swinging. They ramp up. They give signs that bad things are about to happen. Like raising their voice. Kind of like a dog that starts to growl and then barks and then bites you. Same primitive behavior. If a person starts the “growl” pay attention. “Barking?” Get ready for the bite. Get your hands out of your pockets and your head out of your ass and you will avoid being a victim.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember Snoop Dogg did not bring an umbrella fo Drizzle; he brought it for a Lil’ Wayne! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks to #fitdadceo for that one!
Peace
