A Way To Go BUCKS GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, they managed to squeak out close one last night. Great game none the less…someone had to lose though!
Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today. So put on your thinking caps!
When you think of an artist, what comes to mind? A painter? A musician? Dancer? Singer?
I started reading a book by Seth Godin titled The Practice. I think it is a conglomeration of his blog postings (he blogs every day without fail).
In my previous blogs I have advocated the importance of practice. Practice practice practice. If you want to become good at something, you practice.
When it comes to being an artist, I think it is someone who has and continues to practice. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THEY PRACTICE! Anything can be practice. You work at a call center and answer phones all day? Guess what? Each call you answer is practice.
You work at a manufacturing plant? Each process step you do is practice.
You have a relationship? Each engagement with your loved one is practice.
Each time you do something again, you improve at it. You keep getting better at it until you become what we call an Artist.
To classify artists as what we see on America’s Got Talent limits what artists really are. Yes, those people are artists but, we can all be artists as well…with the right practice!
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember it’s not a DAD BOD…It’s a FATHER FIGURE!!! That’s RIGHT…I SAID IT!
Peace
