Ed-vise Episode 247

A provided some training GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, was allowed to meet with people in person and give a bit of Ed-vise…IN PERSON! WHHAAAAT!?!?!

Free For All Friday Ed-vise today. CAUSE IT’S PIZZA NIGHT! and open mat…of course!

I have a Linkedin page. The free one because I’m too cheap to pay for the thing although I probably should.

Usually, on my social media pages (facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.) I follow people. Once I start following them, I rarely unfollow them. Why? Because I’m lazy and it’s just easier to scroll past them and read or watch the other random stuff.

On Linkedin though, I unfollowed several people. Odd that they were all veterans.

Unfollowed because of what I viewed, as deceitful posts, outright lies, and an overall hateful message they were sending. In all actuality, I can deal with those type posts. Normally I laugh or reply with facts or whatever.

It was outright hypocrisy and a perception that veterans hold the keys to the kingdom when it comes to freedoms and the Constitution. And that bothered me.

See, us veteran types, we do not hold those keys. We are not the gate keepers of freedom or the Constitution. In fact, our oath says nothing about freedom. Not a single word. It’s found in title 10 US Code Act 5. You can read it. Just Google it.

It says we will defend the Constitution from threats, both foreign and domestic.

When it comes to calling out vets on the BS statements they make, I am that guy. I will call them out on it. I encourage you all to do the same. If you think you need permission to tell a veteran they are “full of it”, you now have permission.

We vets do not hold any high ground. Do not place us on a pedestal or hold us up as the Standard Bearer of Righteousness. Instead, hold us to account. Hold us veterans to the Oath we took about defending the Constitution. Especially when you see or hear things about people kneeling during the national anthem. After all, we did say we would defend that right…not criticize it

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember you can help a starving cannibal by giving them a…HELPING HAND!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Peace
