OK. I am officially down the “Rabbit Hole” on this crypto/ blockchain/NFT/ Web 3.0 thing. It really has my curiosity peaked and I am loving the journey!
Despite not being voted “Sexiest Man Alive”, AGAIN, I used to be a bit of a computer nerd. My Spousal Support Unit would disagree and say I am STILL a nerd. But, I digress.
I used to have a Commodore 64. Yes, I date myself. I was learning how to program that thing and started doing, what was then called “Machine Language” programming. None the less, that all fell to the wayside once I found a girlfriend and began chasing a dream of the NFL.
Fast forward a few years and we now have what many are calling the New Frontier. Others are referring to it as the “Wild West.” For me, I like “Wild West” because I am a history major and, well, I also love the Wild West!
We are in the infancy of this thing. It is new, and fraught (like that) with all kinds of snares, varmints, villains, outlaws. Highwaymen, Snake Oil Salesman, and worst of all…SCOUNDRELS!
At the same time come the brave and the bold. Yearning to breathe free. Desiring for adventure and best of all…TO STAKE A CLAIM AND MAKE YOUR FORTUNE!
It is there. All you need is a desire to dive into the research. Trust me, the water’s fine. The knowledge is free (for the most part) and there are many good people with a genuine desire to educate people on this whole thing. People like me who will educate as I learn.
So grab your gun and your hat. Saddle your horse and “GO WEST YOUNG MAN (or woman or whatever gender you choose).” There’s GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLS!
