Ed-vise Episode 52

Another rainy GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup…rain…again. Done with rain!

Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So get after it!

M bracket is almost completely busted. Gonzaga, Arizona, and Duke still going strong. Need Arizona and Duke to make it to fight it out for the championships. It will not be easy for them!

My musings this weekend had to do with the number of countries and statesmen who have made the claim about the “Threat to Democracy” because of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Was going to blog a big thing on that. Decided “nah.” Too ranty!

Instead I will rant about the inability of getting a plane ticket to Burbank this coming weekend!

What the hell people?!?

Over $1000 for a round trip during a crappy time…if you can even get it! Looks like I’ll be driving…again!

On a good note: sis was able to get Pops into the car for a bit of driving around! Very cool!

We had a friend over this weekend. Her husband took a fall in the garage and hit his head. Gave him a pretty good shiner and lump on the noggin. He did not go and get checked out.

Guys…I get it. I understand about not wanting to go to hospitals or the doctor to get checked out. Hospitals are scary. Doctors generally don’t have good news (in our mind). I had one friend say “people go to hospitals to die.” I get it.

My dad didn’t go and get checked out on a couple of his falls. Especially the serious ones. Further, as they became more common, he still didn’t. Now, he is in bad shape. Not able to walk due to back damage. Not paralyzed. Just bad shape.

We, as guys, have to suck it up! When injured…get checked out! Especially with a head injury. Letting this stuff sit just adds up to greater issues down the line. Don’t pass off these injuries to “Future You.” Take care of them.

There is a difference between “Hurt” and “Injured.” Hurt doesn’t mean you are out of the game. Injured means you need the team physician to look at you. Maybe even take you to the locker room for an x-ray.

If pro and college athletes can take a minute to get checked out…you can too!

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. Check in on each other and remember the number one cause of dry skin…TOWELS! Huh? BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
