Technically Talking Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY! Time for some technical stuff!
History being made these next couple days.
First black female being nominated and grilled before the Senate Judiciary.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson being offered by President Biden to sit on the Supreme Court to replace outgoing Justice Breyer.
Quite frankly I do not care about her politics. I want her on the court!
Not because she is black; not because she is a female.
I want her on the court (or bench) because she would be THE MOST QUALIFIED!
Having served as a judge, appeals judge, attorney for both defense and prosecutor, clerked for Supreme Court Justice. She knows the law from the academic AND the rough and tumble of legal practice. She also knows it from the referee perspective of being a judge at all levels. Nobody on the court has such credentials. NOBODY! ‘Bout time we did.
What I find “funny” is that she has more experience than those “interviewing” her. Those doing the interview, technically have ZERO experience as a lawyer or a judge. Further, they are not looking to seat a competent judge, they are looking to appease their respective parties…and THAT is a disgrace to our Constitution.
