A hurt my back GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, low back went to spasm at morning jits. Doing a bit of lasso guard counter creates a bit of twisting on the low back and, thus, a quick tap out straight into the TENS Unit. Damn!
Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So, GET AFTER IT!
Had a good weekend. Sun was out, birds chirping, people mowing (bit early). Newbie was WAAAAYYYYY chatty. And I do mean CHATTY! She had plenty to say about everything. Add to it her friend’s birthday party and the Ol’ Dad had to give an “ENOUGH!”
Plenty of Musing time as well.
Spousal Support Unit brought up about someone on social media posting about Open Carry for guns in a store. Apparently someone just felt it was fine to carry their side arm in the supermarket.
Now, for us connoisseurs of history, we know that many towns in the old west did NOT tolerate open carry of any form. One town in particular that every single 2A lover dreams about is Tombstone, Arizona. It’s a real town! The sheriff: Wyatt Earp. Mr. “Anti 2A” himself.
Still, many towns and cities allowed open carry. Especially in the frontier where there was a genuine threat of being attacked especially if you were alone. The Wild West was just that…Wild!
Now, I pay attention to the 2A talk and people walking around with their open carry guns. Side note: your police officers don’t open carry. They carry; they just don’t advertise for the most part.
Based on MY observation of the people that say “it’s my RIGHT to open carry,” when I observe those types, I realized they wouldn’t need a gun if they weren’t such a D-I-C-K!
Yeah, I said it and I said it OUT LOUD.
Most people in this world, and I do mean MOST, will not come up to you and threaten your life. They just won’t. And they don’t. I have walked down many streets and alleys in my life. Many of those alleys and streets were not in the nicest parts of town. When I lived in LA, I would walk into buildings that sat in the gang areas of LA. I did not have a gun. I was alone. What was my secret to not being attacked violently? I didn’t act like a D-I-C-K!
Simple formula!
In Good Ol’ ‘Murica, it is not illegal to be a D-I-C-K. It should be. So, as I Mused about this little topic I realized that the 2A was put in place NOT to protect the 1st Amendment. Not to protect us from an over-reaching, tyrannical government. Nope! It was put there to defend the God given right to be a D-I-C-K!
So maybe, JUST maybe, if people weren’t so hell bent on being D-I-C-Ks, there wouldn’t be such a need for guns.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember Billy Joel’s laundry is always wet because…HE DIDN’T START THE DRYER! HAHHAHHAHAHA…that’s a NEW YORK STATE OF MIND!
Peace
