A warm GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, it’s warm this morning. Which means when my 430am alarm goes off and I hit snooze, I don’t go back to sleep because it’s too hot!
Think About It Thursday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s THURSDAY! Time to THINK!
A grand jury in Texas (God bless Texas) did not charge a man who killed a child while shooting at a robber who had shot at him.
Basically, the vehicle the child was riding in was caught in the crossfire between this person and the robbers.
Apparently, Shooter (not his real name) was taking his wife and kids out to eat. He stopped at an ATM, withdrew money and was robbed at gunpoint. He complied with the robber’s demand. He then exited the vehicle and thought he heard gunshots. He then pulled out his gun and fired at the fleeing robber. At that moment, the vehicle containing the child drove onto the scene. Shooter’s bullet struck the vehicle and the child, killing her.
Now, in Texas, you don’t need anything to have a gun. You don’t even need to train with it. A regular “Wild West” setting.
Shooter, to me, obviously did not train with that weapon. Otherwise he would have known that once you fire the weapon, you cannot recall the bullet. So you better hit what you were aiming at.
So, Shooter gets to walk because Texas loves it’s guns. Now, they are supposedly looking for the robber. I doubt they put forward much effort to apprehend the robber. Why? It involves doing police stuff and I don’t think Texas has a good reputation for doing police stuff.
