Ed-vise: Nanotubes

A warm Hershey Forward Ambulation GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, Hershey and I took a little stroll this morning. Been a bit for him and he was a bit winded but happy to have gone!

Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…Technically.

I read random shit. Why? Because I like to and it helps me kick ass at trivia!

As we all know, we live in the time of COVID, aka SARS-CoV-2.

I read a little ditty on sciencedaily.com. Great website by the way and I highly recommend checking it out.

The article was about how COVID infects the brain.

See most viruses do not affect the brain. They might impact body systems that keep the brain functioning and thereby causing damage. However, the neurons in our brains really do not have the set up for a virus to attach to the brain. Except in the case of COVID.

This little rascal of a virus has the ability to create what are called nanotubes. Nanotubes are the pathways that feed brain cells.

So, if I have this little thing correct it goes something like this: COVID enters the system through the breathing passages. It goes into the nose and travels up to the brain. Then, it builds these little nanotubes OR it travels inside these nanotubes, into the neural (brain) cell. From there it keeps on growing and creates the brain fog and long COVID.

Now, normally, I wouldn’t really have an interest in this. However, I am watching the series Resident Evil and, Technically, it has a very close relationship to our little pandemic!

It had the T-Virus. This virus also caused brain damage, along with turning people into raging zombies.

So, that being said, GET VACCINATED and GET BOOSTED! The “Anti-Vaxers” already have enough people. They don’t need more people being brain damaged!

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember if your sweater has too much static in it, you can return it for another…FREE OF CHARGE! HAHAHAHAHHAHA…get it? No CHARGE!
