Ed-vise: Kansas Votes

A Hall of Fame Game GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, NFL pro game tonight. Not that it will be anything other than a pillow fight this early on. Plus it will feature The Raiders and The Jaguars. Either way…it’s FOOTBALL!!!

Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s THURSDAY. Time to THINK!

OK, we see the way that your rights get protected play out in Kansas.

As you know, 6 of the justices on the SU-PREME Court of ‘Murica, lied in their confirmation hearings by assuring people that Roe was settled law. Then, once given the opportunity, they overturned it. Fine. Remember, judges do not protect rights.

So, Kansas put a measure out to the public to vote on about whether to keep abortion funded and legal or to allow the legislature to decide what to do with it.

Kansas is another very conservative state with a belief in Christian Nationalism. Much like how the Taliban in Afghanistan go about their business, so to do such states as Kansas.

Well…

The voters of Kansas said for the legislature to “keep their hands off our choices.” Choice is protected in Kansas.

Why?

Because THE PEOPLE made it that way. They did not rely on judicial opinions or a Gerrymandered legislature. THE PEOPLE mobilized and voted. By a margin of 53% to 46%.

And THAT is how you protect your rights.

It takes effort no doubt. It takes a lot to do it. It takes a lot of people getting the correct information out to the masses. Educating voters. Standing in booth lines on hot days. Waiting to cast that ever so crucial vote to protect your right.

When the people vote it in, things are much less hostile than when a judge makes a ruling or the legislature votes for their donors and lobbyists. When the people speak up and vote, things do get better.

Way to go Kansas Voters!

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember that the telephone proposed to his girlfriend by giving her…A RING! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA…ring ring!

Peace
