Ed-vise: Refund

A knee hurts GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, my “mistress” hurt my knee Friday. Didn’t mention it yesterday because I was planning to go to the doctor to look at it but Pops issue sprang up on me…so…you know.

Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…technically.

If we can get ANYTHING over on theses airlines then by God LET’S DO IT!!!

So yesterday on my flight down from Portland, I ended up getting delayed in Frisco. Not a problem; bit too early for beers. So, I went and had a chicken breakfast biscuit which was delicious as usual.

When I purchased the ticket I paid extra for a seat on the aisle with extra leg room. Reason being my knee hurt and I needed the space to stretch. It was an extra $39 bucks. No problem.

During the delay, I learned that the type of plane they were going to provide was a bit smaller. Meaning some of us were going to have our seat reassigned. So, I checked the United app to see what my new seat would be. No update.

I went up to the counter and asked for my seat assignment. She gave me a new ticket (kept the old one) which had me seated in the middle of the exit row. Not what I paid for.

Here’s the important part where you you must speak up.

I pointed out that there is a price difference.

Realize THEY will not bring this up. Profit is king. There is a price difference between middle and aisle seats. The middle seat is always less. ALWAYS.

So, I brought it up. The customer service person recognized the issue and fully refunded the cost on the seat.

Now, understand that a rude customer would end up with a “you need to take it up with someone who cares.” So, when you do something like that, be nice. The customer service folks are literally overwhelmed from so many pissed off travelers believing they are entitled to some form of royal service. So be nice and good things can happen.

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember dogs are like phones. They both have…COLLAR ID!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHA….WOOF!
