Ed-vise: Iran Protests

A Damn Beavers GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, them Beaves ALMOST got the win against USC. ALMOST! And that only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades and nuclear bombs.

Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!

Iran is blowing up with protests. STILL!

Iran has this version of Islam that has Morality Police. Just like Saudi Arabia. It’s basically a bunch of thug men dressed as police officers, employed by the government that go around and beat up women and girls. They do this based on supposed findings in the Koran (Muslim Holy Book).

Last week, a bunch of these so called “Holy Men” beat a girl TO DEATH. Why? She apparently wasn’t wearing her head covering correctly.

Well, the women of Iran have had enough. They have taken to the streets and rose up against the Ayatollahs and ultra conservative religious leaders. No, Iran does NOT have a separation of church and state. Iran is very much like what Texas (God bless Texas) wants to become.

Unlike Russian men, the Iranian women are straight up fighting the police and the military. Hand to hand. They are rioting in the face of the possibility of being shot. Many have been killed. Tik Tok has done a pretty good job of getting the faces of these women and the actions that are happening out to the world. Instagram as well. Despite the efforts to shut down social media.

The women are literally cutting off their hair and burning their head scarves. It really is amazing to witness.

It reminds me of videos from the 70s when the Shah of Iran was overthrown by the students and the Ayatollah was first installed. Back then, Good ol’ ‘Murica wanted the Shah in place so we supported him. The people…not so much. They revolted against the Shah and sent him and his family packing. Took a bunch of ‘Muricans hostage as well.

Ever since that time, the US has put sanctions on Iran. Heavy and oppressive sanctions. Those sanctions caused Iran to turn to countries that ‘Murica don’t like. So we call Iran a state sponsor of terrorism. It’s complicated.

None the less, the women in Iran are standing up and taking the fight to the street. Keep up the fight! Fight for the freedom you deserve. Just keep fighting!

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember a kittens favorite color is…PURRRR-PLE! HAHAHAHHAHAHA…meow!

Peace
