A chilly GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, a good chill in the air this morning on Forward Ambulation. Made for a spooky walk what with all the awesome Halloween decorations up! Very cool!
Technically Talking Tuesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s TUESDAY…Technically.
I like when athletes protest. Seriously. I do.
They have just as much right to protest as the Average Jane or Joe walking down the street.
I know it’s a good thing because it pisses off the Fox News Clowns.
It’s especially good when it makes global headlines such as with Iran’s Elnaz Rekabi. Professional rock climber who decided to compete without the hijab. You go girl! Proud of you! Side note: the hijab is the fuse that set off the powder keg of protests in Iran.
Collin Kaepernick. Same thing. Took a knee to bring light to police brutality. I’m all for it.
If pro athletes didn’t protest at their place of work (the playing field) we probably wouldn’t know them from Adam on the street.
When they run for political office. That’s fine too. Sometimes they run on an idea that they can make life better. That’s OK. They become a politician. Whatever.
Herschel Walker? Nope. Nope, nope, nope.
Especially attempting to pass himself off as a “God Fearing Christian” or worse yet…IMPERSONATING A COP?! COME ON MAN! Flashing that badge around like you have any idea whatsoever of what it takes to become or serve as a police officer?!?
Look. There is no “Technically I’m a cop.” Nope. Not in a million, billion, trillion years! Just because you went through a Cadet Course or something to that affect, you are NOT a police officer.
Being named an “Honorary” Sheriff’s Officer…does NOT make you an officer! Going to an FBI school for a week to run the obstacle course and shoot guns does NOT make you an agent.
In my opinion, Mr. Walker is insulting EVERY police officer that put in the work and swore the oath. Furthermore, ANY person that supports him needs to remove any references to “Blue Lives Matter” or the corresponding flag with the blue line on it.
I know, I usually am pretty level headed about politics. For the most part, when it comes to politics, I like to be level headed because I love to hear people’s thoughts and ideas. I like the debate and the different perspectives regardless of party love. However, I have a real problem with people, of ANY party, who try to pass themselves off as someone who has actively served. It’s a sensitive area.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember if you eat aluminum foil, you will…SHEET METAL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…another SHEET!
Peace
