Herschel Walker reached out to me, PERSONALLY, and requested my help in his run-off campaign!
Can you believe that? Reached out all the way from Georgia to ask me to help.
How?
By sending him money of course.
Yup, if you check your emails like I do, you notice that you receive constant emails from whatever party you are affiliated with. All of them asking for money.
Technically Speaking it’s like pan-handling.
You know what that is right? That’s the man that we’ve all seen at the store begging for some change. It’s the person with who is on skid row asking for a handout for something to eat. Usually, it’s the person that has fallen on hard times and has no place to turn other than to craft a sign and stand on a street corner.
Only, with politics, it is considered Campaign Fund Raising.
So, I have an idea to help the homeless: run for office.
Hear me out on this.
See, if they run for office, they can solicit donations like it’s nobodies business. They could easily get thousands if not millions of dollars in donations. They can use social media and emails to solicit the money. The money would fall under campaign finance rules. Those rules are so vague and unenforced that anyone could easily skirt any issues with those. Just look at anyone currently in office.
The homeless could easily avoid any type of shame or the whole “get a job” stigma. All they have to say is they are running for office. They can change their sign from “Please Help” to “Vote for Me!” Put an elephant on the sign and the money will come rolling in.
Opensecrets.org tracks the political money. For 2022 it estimates over 9 billion will have been spent on the midterms. That’s “billion” with a “B.” Furthermore, that is only money SPENT. It does not account for money given.
T-Rump is still pan-handling. His little campaign PAC is bringing in cash left and right. NRA throws it out there as well. Both are pulling in millions of dollars. In fact, T-Rump will put up an email for you for campaign money. He will take 90% of it. But you can still rake in 10% which isn’t too bad.
2024 is coming. Get your campaign slogans lined up. They don’t have to be honest at all. The more outlandish, the better. Get those emails lined up and ready to go. Check your local election offices to make sure if you have to register as a party or not. Once you got that lined up, dive into it! What’s the worse that can happen? You might get elected.
Be like the representatives in government. Don’t beg on the streets. Run for office! It’s easier and you will probably make more money.
