Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So, GET AFTER IT!
It is my belief that Saudi Arabia paid off Argentina to lose.
THERE! I said it!
Not that I am a fan of Argentina. It just feels too suspicious that Saudi Arabia would beat the dominating soccer team out of Argentina.
If they didn’t pay off Argentina then they paid off the refs.
Whenever there is a big upset like that in the World Cup, I am always suspicious. Primarily because the upsets in World Cup are so big.
Argentina has one of the biggest names in soccer (Messi) on it’s team. He scored an amazing goal to put the team up 1 – 0. Then, as the game progressed, the off sides calls kept coming in. Which raises the suspicion level in this arm chair quarterback of soccer’s mind.
See, when a team is THAT good, as is Argentina, off sides DOES NOT HAPPEN! They are too smart for such a small thing to prevent a goal. That’s another way of saying “They know better!”
However, the ref’s kept calling it. Which begins to raise the eyebrow. They weren’t obviously corrupt. Just enough. If there was a question, the answer went in Saudi Arabia’s favor.
THEN, the next game comes around for both countries. Argentina thumps Mexico; Poland does the same to Saudi Arabia. Hmmmm…That’s suspicious!
