Todays’ bit o trivia: Short Selling. Yup, gotta talk about it. This is a weird concept in the market. And dumb. More problems than it’s worth and has caused massive financial market failures. It starts by finding a company that has stock. Then, having a good idea that the stock price will go down for whatever reason. Things like litigation or product issues or whatever. So the soulless hedge fund pukes they approach the stock brokers who own the stock and say “we want to short stock X.” Broker doesn’t care so they lend the stock to the puke. The puke immediately sells it at market price. Waits for the stock to drop and then buys the stock to return those shares back to the broker. The broker hopes the puke made a bad decision. Thus, you see why the stock market is nothing but a big casino

I remember one time on Linkedin when a short seller posted that he and his family were in financial hardship because of a short sale that he lost huge money in. The Linkedin members had ZERO sympathy for him. And, quite frankly, I agree.
See, short sellers are betting AGAINST the success of a company. They are praying that the employees (you) are a bunch of fools; that the leadership/ founders are morons. They want a drug company to make a toxic poison; they want an auto manufacture to make a car that explodes on impact. They WANT THE HOUSING MARKET TO CRASH! Just watch The Big Short. Great movie.
All so the Puke Hedge Fund managers can make obscene amounts of money.
Well, the Reddit Army stepped up and flushed the Hedge Fund Toilet Bowl sending some of these turds down the sewer pipes. Awesome!!!! What they also exposed was that the game makers (Robinhood, Ameritrade, etc.) have made the game in such a way that they will not lose! Just like a casino, they will give enough to keep you coming back but they will not give enough to not make a profit. GO REDDIT ARMY! KEEP FLUSHING!!! I’m just saying
