Ed-vise Episode 185

An overcast Hershey Walk GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Despite the overcast, it was nice and cool and that made Hershey poop early!

Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today and there is lots to think about.

Recently, Oregon, along with many states out west, experienced record heat. During that heat, a few employees of outdoor work environments died. One in particular, died in an agriculture type setting. A field hand from out of town.

The news went off about people that died in their homes due to a lack of AC or access to cooling centers. To add to the conversation, the news went off about what the government is or is not doing about it.

The government. Think About It. The government.

The government is made up of elected representatives. It is supposed to be of the people, by the people and FOR THE PEOPLE. That IS NOT TRUE. It is of the parties, by the parties, and FOR THE PARTIES.

The government cannot get ANYTHING done in a timely manner (other than appease the Military Industrial Complex). We have bridges cracking, roads with holes, power grid issues and buildings collapsing…literally. Shit that needs done NOW! And we have representatives admitting they have zero intention of getting anything done.

We are still dealing with a pandemic and the government, STILL, has yet to figure out what to do. Other than piss everyone off.

Short answer: don’t rely on the government.

Instead, take matters into your own hands.

Think About It. The deaths that occurred because of the heat were, in my opinion, from people being afraid. Afraid to check on each other. Afraid to speak with each other. Afraid to put down their phone and speak a word to someone. Afraid to be human.

All of my blogs end with the same words: Check in on each other. So, as you are reading this, act on my words. Check in on each other…it’s OK.

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. CHECK IN ON EACH OTHER and remember if you fall down a well, it’s because you did not SEE WELL! Get it?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHA

Peace
