OK, unless you live under a rock (and I presume you don’t because you are reading this), Kabul has fallen. And the political parties, who, REMEMBER, DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, are throwing blame around like a game of dodgeball. Throw and dodge, throw and dodge. It is an embarrassment the way blame is being puked out.
What makes it even worse is that the Chinese tweeted out that the Taliban takeover went smoother than the recent US ELECTION! THOSE BASTARDS! I will be the first to admit that statement is funny! Still, THOSE BASTARDS!
The actual only adult in the room is Biden. He’s the guy who said he will not pass on this war to another administration…and thus, he didn’t! Well done. True demonstration of leadership right there. Make a decision and live with the consequences. Right or wrong, leadership is about making a decision, executing, and letting the pieces fall where they may.
Three other presidents could have done it. They didn’t. They let the Military Industrial Complex continue to profit from the blood shed by US and Afghan personnel, both civilian and military. They negotiated with the “Evil Taliban” without the Afghan Government involvement. They released the prisoners who are now the leaders of the Taliban. They invited the Taliban to Camp David for tea and crumpets (not the Afghan Government). They allowed the corruption within the Afghan security forces to go unchecked resulting in troops not getting paid so they can feed their families.
Anyone who paid attention to the happenings over there KNEW this would happen. KNEW it! Think About it Thursday is going to be a REAL GOOD thinker so stay tuned.
