Monday Musings Ed-vise today. Cause it’s MONDAY! So GET AFTER IT!
Recent thing (well, not really recent) being talked about. The dividing of ‘Merica.
Basically a stupid notion put forward by Trumptards and Limbaughdiots about the “Red States” seceding away to create their own nation. And, believe it or not, this is actually something I have thought about for a long time.
Am I for it? Hard to say. I really don’t like that several states in the mid-west and south east, with way less population, seem to control the happenings of the rest of the nation via the senate. Add to that, the deeper the “Red” the harder the political lines.
As I was musing the idea this past weekend, the first issue in my mind is that these “Reds” will need an ally. Or a few allies. Who would that be? I mean let’s face it, those advocating for it on the conservative side, HATE EVERYONE! They trust nobody. So, any of the surrounding countries would NEVER be an ally. The big ones (Russia; China) yeah…NOPE! Both “commie” countries? Hell no! “Better dead than red!” was the old saying from the Reagan years.
It’s funny how the only nation that would be around that might be trustworthy would be THE ONE THEY JUST LEFT! Hmmm.
That was the first question that those who would want to leave the Union from the mid-west would have to answer and deal with. I didn’t have to go much further especially into the financial side of and the geological situation of many of those states that would end up looking very much like a bunch of former Soviet Republics. I mean who needs stuff from North Dakota?
