Think About it Thursday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s THURSDAY! Time to think.
Just dropped the boy off for his trip down to So. Cal then a long drive back to Texas. As much a pain in the ass as he is, I still hate dropping him off. Hated to leave them when they were younger. Now, I hate seeing them leave.
We had a great conversation on the drive to the airport. I say ”great” because we had a conversation. The boy don’t shut up! Early in the morning, I DO NOT like talking! Him, he just keeps on talking until you start responding and having a conversation! I mean FAAAWWWKKK! Too early for conversations.
But, it brought up the thing to Think About today. Fear.
As I follow headlines and reports, court cases and other trivial stuff, I have come to realize that we, as ’Mericans, seem to live in a constant state of fear. Military gets ANOTHER $700 billion plus. ANOTHER 700! What happened to the first 700 billion plus? The news reports out different levels of panic all over the place. Things to fear. Rules and regulations passed by representatives based on fear. Fear of what?
The weather? Immigrants? China? Terrorists? Our health?
A constant state of fear has been proven detrimental to a person’s health. Science has proven this. Leads to bad sleep; bad eating; bad moods; bad everything. So, we pass rules and set up agencies to regulate the symptoms of living in constant fear. Further, the downward spiral self perpetuates. Reason being our actions radiate out into a de-stabilizing force throughout the globe. The rest of the world sees Good Ol ‘Merica, as the EVIL EMPIRE! So they do what they have to. Then we do what we have to and the fear goes on and on and on.
So, Think About It. The Boogey Man is NOT everywhere! Like I said yesterday, not everyone following you wants to do bad things. I don’t know how to end the Wheel of Fear. But DAMN! Doesn’t it get tiring?
