OK, it’s been a year.
One year since Trumptards and Limbaughdiots attempted to subvert the election of President Biden with the help of several Republican Senators.
Been almost three years since this pandemic came to being. THREE YEARS!
Man does time fly when you’re having fun!
To add to all this fun, it seems that headlines have become more prone toward showing us violence and hatred than in just some “feel good” type stories.
Why is it that stories of violence always seem to get top billing and feel good stories don’t?
Think About It.
We love the violence. Plain and simple. For whatever reason, we humans love the violence. Especially us ‘Mericans.
We might not like being in it. But, watching it from afar, from our armchairs and sofas…we are all for it. Can’t take our eyes off it. Maybe we feel bad for the victim. Maybe even despise the aggressor. But, we love it.
Sold out arenas for football, boxing, MMA. Do you know who Malala Yousafzai is? She is an activist from Pakistan. Ring a bell? How about if I told you she is the young woman who was shot in the face by the Taliban on a school bus. Remember her now. She has done several speeches here in the states prior to Trump’s Travel Ban. Not to sold out arenas. Why? Not violent enough.
I’m not condemning anyone for this love of violence. Shoot, I indulge in it as well. If you find yourself today, this one year anniversary of the attempt to subvert the election, find a feel good story. It will make you feel better…trust me on that.
