A very wet GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, a Hershey Forward Ambulation this morning saw him get SUPER WET! He deserved it for making me take him on a walk!
Free For All Friday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s FRIDAY PIZZA NIGHT! and OPEN MAT!
I took the time this morning to listen in on the Supreme Court of these here U-Nited States of ‘Murica as they listened to the arguments, for and against, the OSHA Emergency Temp Standard related to vaccines and/or masks with testing.
If you go to the Supreme Court webpage, you will be able to find the list of people and entities that filed to have a say in this debate. Two filed on behalf of OSHA; bunches filed on behalf of entities they represent. Small business, Folks with Disabilities, Fake Patriots, Even Faker People that Care and, of course, churches. Side note: I’m really sick of these churches that keep thinking they can play the “Game of Mankind” and hide behind the “Shield of God.” But that’s a separate topic.
All of the entities that were represented have every right to file and make a statement, for or against, the ETS. In fact, you, as a citizen of these here U-Nited States, could and can file a brief to be read by the court.
Now, the debate centered around OSHA believing they are keeping workers of ‘Murica safe. Those against the OSHA ETS say the ETS will have a detrimental impact on business and the economy in ‘Murica.
Couple things I noticed.
First, everyone keeps calling it a “mandate.” It’s not. People have a choice between vaccine or masks/testing. The ETS is NOT “mandating” a vaccine. That idea comes from Fox news which happens to be (as I saw on Tik Tok) “Comfort Food For the Stupid.” Now THAT is funny right there I don’t care who you are!
Second, it kept being brought up that employees will quit if ordered to get a vaccine. I heard OSHA studies point to about 3% of the workforce would probably quit. In all honesty, I believe this argument fails in the sense that a business, more likely than not, will have taken this into account should they decide to mandate vaccines. It is a decision that business is really ready to deal with.
Last point is something that, in my opinion spoke very loudly, while being absent from the court. Absent in the sense of not filing with the court to have a say in the matter. NO INDIVIDUAL BUSINESSES!
None. Not a one. No Apple, or Boeing, or Tesla, or Amazon. None. The ETS impacts businesses with 100+ employees. In the matter at hand, none of the major players that would feel the direct impact of the ETS were present. That speaks loudly to the court. The people and entities that would be directly impacted by the ETS had nothing to say. And by staying silent…that would appear they have NO problem with the ETS.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember to make sure you send out your emails like one day they will be read aloud in a criminal trial! HAHAHAAHAHHA…hmmmm
