Technically speaking the Supreme Court could, easily, NOT overturn Roe.
The leaked opinion, as I have said before, is NOT the final decision. The final decision will probably come out in June.
Currently, there are massive protests going on. Going so far as to protest outside of the Justices homes. Interestingly enough and in a bit of irony, THEY established that doing such protests IS legal. I wonder if they ever thought they would be the target of protests for their decisions.
So, like I said, it is possible that the court will NOT overturn Roe. A long shot but definitely a possibility.
Here is a conspiracy for you, my faithful readers and pursuers of knowledge: what if the court intentionally “leaked” the draft? What if it was done in an attempt to gauge the reactions of both pro and anti abortion groups? What if it was done in an effort to see how far states would go in order to keep women barefoot and pregnant?
See, Technically Speaking the Supreme Court does NOT have a “due date” for their decisions. They usually try to wrap things up by the end of June. However, if they don’t want to give an opinion on a case, THEY WON’T! Let me add that if an opinion is NOT rendered by the end of June, the case usually gets re-argued.
Thus, that leaked draft, could have easily been a litmus test to see what would happen if such a verdict was given. If that is so, the Supreme Court of Good Ol’ ‘Murica just GAS LIT the ENTIRE U, S of A!
