A Hershey Two Poop Forward Ambulation GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, took the old boy out for a stroll this morning. Had to cut it short as he is a bit out of shape and I ran out of poop bags!
What Would You Do Wednesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s WEDNESDAY! And I do love WEDNESDAYS!
This abortion thing is starting to get ugly. Literally.
We are starting to see the fights and the bombings; the fires and protests. It’s like we just came out of one political storm to find ourselves in another.
Headlines read that congress has allocated more money to protect judges. Side note: it was bi-partisan…go figure. More money for judges to be protected from the outcome of their decisions.
Now, keep in mind that school boards, teachers, witnesses, have been enduring the wraith of the public for some time. They do not have any protections other than 911. Federal Judges have the protection of the US Marshal Service. Why they believe they deserve more, well, probably because they don’t read my blog!
So, for the Initiated here is today’s scenario for the mind to consider so the body can follow: a protest pops up in your neighborhood. Or, in front of your house. Keep in mind, this is your home, not your place of business. Your sanctuary versus your office.
What if your family is in the house that is surrounded by protestors. Do you have a plan?
Now, you might not work in a capacity that your opinion impacts millions of people with deeply held, passionate beliefs. However, the company you work for might take a position that is very unpopular with the locals such as Disney.
Perhaps a couple of recommendations for you from Yours Truly will help to ease the mind.
First, know the business you are in. As an elected official of ANY capacity, you are going to issue an unpopular opinion even if you were elected and won by an overwhelming majority. Remember, even Jesus Christ had some unpopular ideas.
Some of those unpopular opinions will have a deep impact on someone. Thus, if it is a really big decision you must make, prepare your family. Let them know it is coming and some people might not like it. Fore armed is Fore warned!
Second, have a plan. Actually sit down with your family and go over where they would or could go if a protest were to start up. Keep in mind, protests don’t just suddenly appear though it might seem like it. They often start with a march or some sort of sparking incident. They start with more than the normal amount of people showing up. When an unpopular opinion starts to surface, it is time to start paying attention for people showing up.
Last, do not hesitate. You have these little hairs on the back of your neck. You have a gut. When the hairs start to stand up and the gut starts to trigger, act on it. Get out when you think you need to get out. You might think you can talk down a mob. Guess what: YOU CAN’T! Add to that, you probably cannot fight them all off. Standing on your front porch with a AR-15 is NOT the solution though the clowns at Fox News will tell you otherwise. The crowd will get to a point where your gut will tell you to leave. Listen to it and go! The US Marshals and local police will thank you for it!
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember if you cross a snail with a porcupine you will end up with a…SLOW POKE! HAHAHAHAHAHA…OUCH!
Peace
