A cousin’s night GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, cousins visiting from San Diego stopped in last night for some ice cream. That was after we met some other cousins for a birthday dinner at an overpriced restaurant. Great love during tough times.
Free For All Friday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s FRIDAY! No open mat; Maybe some pizza though!
Pops continues what they call “transitioning.” Meaning he is approaching the Rainbow Bridge to Valhalla.
He’s at a point where he wants to go. His body won’t let him.
But, that is the human body. The body fights to keep itself alive even if the brain is saying otherwise. On a cellular level, if the cells have the necessary stuff to keep going, they do just that. If they do not, they stop doing cell stuff.
Now, hospice has directed us to stop the food and water. That is based on the damage in his brain and what his body has begun to do. Easy enough…for THEM to say!
See, each time you give a person in Pop’s state a food or water, it prolongs the final act. Even the smallest amount of food or water would trigger the body to go from shutdown mode to survival mode.
Now, imagine your best friend in the whole wide world shutting down. I will tell you this, it is a double edged sword when you have your loved ones passing away at home. Yes, you get to be there for there last moments on earth. However, you also have to be courageous enough to let them go when you have no place to hide.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember never trust an atom…THEY MAKE UP EVERYTHING! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…that’ from Sis.
Peace
