Ed-vise: Socialism Works

A star filled Forward Ambulation GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, beautiful this morning. Still dark and clear. Plenty of stars and, I think, I could see Jupiter as it is closest to Earth in like 50 some odd years.

Free For All Friday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s FRIDAY! Open Mat; Pizza Night!

Florida gets hammered by ANOTHER hurricane.

Infrastructure devastated with water. Power grid knocked out. Several people killed.

And, Good Ol’ ‘Murica stepping up as a community to help. It’s what happens when a country has effective programs in place to deal with disasters like this.

FEMA gets activated which brings a ton of resources and money to help. FEMA coordinates the food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance that is needed. Relieving the burden a family will have to deal with after such an event. Even goes so far as to help coordinate with insurance companies.

Many insurance companies will have people set up to file claims to recover costs for rebuilding.

Friends and neighbors will help friends and neighbors in need.

An amazing coming together of people to, simply help. Humans being human.

So, whenever you read about someone saying how socialism is a bad thing, point that person to any event like this. Because the “coming together” in this manner IS, in fact, socialism. But, I prefer to call it Being Human.

Now, during this time of crisis, there will be those who seek to profit from this hurricane. THAT is what is pure capitalism. All about the profit.

See, capitalism works until you need help. Which is ALWAYS going to happen. The irony is that those who advocate the loudest AGAINST social programs and help (like FEMA) are the same ones who, well, need it the most.

I’m just saying

That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember a vegan zombie only eats…GRAAAAAIIIINNNNNSSSS! HAHAHAHAHAHA…ewww!

Peace
