A watering the sidewalk GOOD MORNING!!! to you all! Yup, So. Cal watering the sidewalks with their auto sprinklers despite not having the water to do so. Gotta keep those sidewalks cool I guess.
What Would You Do Wednesday Ed-vise today. Cause it’s WEDNESDAY! And I do love WEDNESDAYS!
My Great Uncle Mel is in his late 80s. He loved Pops. He took Pop’s passing really hard. Pops, to Uncle Mel, was the son he never had.
Uncle Mel and I have deep conversations. I mean like SUPER deep. About life, business, politics, history, law…you name it, we’ll go there and then go off the deep end. When Pops would join in…hold your breath cause it was gonna get deep.
Of course, my simple minded cousins would show up and we would end up talking about the sun being bright or crayons. But I digress
Uncle Mel posed the statement that the people we seem to want to be around always seem to pass away too soon.
I agree somewhat.
I countered with a bit of Ed-vise. After all, What Would You Do.
I brought up that they SEEM to pass away too soon because we want to be with them so much. We want to sit with them; to walk with them; to roll (jitsu) with them one more time. We want to have another deep conversation with them again. It always seems like there is NEVER enough time.
We all have those people in our lives that, when we are with them, time just seems to fade away. Then, all of a sudden, they have to go. You feel like you just got there but in reality, they have been there a long time. And then they are gone. Sometimes they come back; sometimes they don’t.
Sure, there are many (Pops included) who do pass away at an unexpected time in their life. But I think we miss them because we realize we cannot have those super deep conversations anymore. And that is what I will miss most about Pops. I’m working on it with Newbie. Right now it’s dealing with The Conspiracy of the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
I’m just saying
That’s it for today. Take care of yourselves. Check in on each other and remember when pirates talk they speak…AYE TO AYE!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA…arrrgh matey!
Peace
